But after a week in Tampa…
When she introduced me to everyone as her daughter…
Not a daughter in law,
I have a new name for her.
I think I’ll call her Madre.

I had a second mom until she passed when I was a tween. Having that special someone, another shoulder to cry on or to make laugh into tears is something so precious and I’m so grateful for the time she was here.
I call my BFF’s mom Mama Frost, and have called my MIL Mama Joan since I was a child.
