1) There’s nothing like being married to the one you love.
2) Grass always smells better in the other yard.
3) There’s nothing like an early morning walk smelling the lake and pine trees. It’s Christmas and summer in one stroll.
4) Life isn’t worth living without peanut butter pie.
5) It doesn’t matter what your job is, how big your paycheck is or what size jeans you wear. The greatest happiness is friends that you can talk to like you saw them yesterday after not seeing thing them for five years and a family who supports you.
What lessons do you learn when you go back home?

I don’t go home. Even if there were anything there, it wouldn’t be worthwhile to go back for me. Sad, isn’t it? I’m making d*** right and well certain that my kids never feel that way. Now, just tell me how to make that Peanut Butter Pie. We love Peanut Butter, and I’m on a real quest to make more and better pies! (Meanwhile, maybe I’ll make some peanut butter cookies tonight.)
I came home 6 years ago and I’m still here! Lots of lessons learned through heartbreaking tragedy. I could use a slice of PB pie. My favorite.
so cute, you sure did learn some great things babe…my favorite is the peanut butter…mmm
Well… we live where we grew up. My inlaws are about 2 miles away, and my childhood home is another 10 minutes beyond that… Cue Bon Jovi’s “Who Says You Can’t Go Home”…
What a great post.
I loved it!
Home has taught me many lessons. The best and most important though is that there will always be family who will love and support me no matter what.
You had me at pie. That peanut butter pie looks amazing!
This was worth the click even just for the peanut butter pie:) Made my day!
I’ve never had peanut butter pie before. That good, huh?
