I’ve got a new challenge for ya’ll.
After holing up for a few weeks and getting my synopsis(es) and queries done for two MS I’m sending out, I’m ready for a new challenge.
And I found it on Cindi Meyer’s Market Blog, a great source of who is acquiring what in the publishing industry. There’s short stories calls, anthologies, romance, YA, fantasy– every genre and length is represented.
Ya’ll know I like variety.
So from an older July post, I discovered a fun call for acquisitions for Still Moments Publishing….
And a Ladies Home journal personal essay…
And for “First Line Magazine,” a short story contest.
Einstein says, “E= Blond Duck squared times amount of peanut butter consumed divided by pie…the edible pie…”
I found that I work best if I do one book/ novella at a time sprinkled in with a few short stories to keep things fresh. Too many books or two many short stories and my brain explodes from writing overload.
Do ya’ll have any writing goals? Shall we embark on a challenge together?
Stay tuned for whimsical Wednesday and Mama Kat on Thursday!

Einstein is a wise little dude, and very adoggable.
I have no writing goals right now. I just caught my breath after a fast-paced September, and doubt I’ll do more than blog until June, but that doesn’t mean I’m not curious about your challenge.
I wish I could write my little heart out like you! I have all these stories inside me but when I go to write them down it’s like I hit a wall. Boo.
